Suleiman’s Murder : Seven Arrested

 On August 21  Mohommed Suleiman was kidnapped in front of his house in Bambalapitiya. The police found his body dumped in a land in Hemmathagama several days later. Followed by this incident the CCD questioned over 50 persons gave evidence and  their statements recorded.
The businessman was abducted to claim a ransom. The CCD have collected strong evidence to prove Sulaiman’s workers connection to the murder, and  two of the arrested suspects have aided in the crime, sources said.
The Colombo Crime Division yesterday night arrested seven  suspects on suspicion in connection the murder of businessman Mohommed Suleiman.
The Police suspect that one of the arrested, a resident of Colombo has had a direct hand  in the murder.  Unconfirmed reports said that a close aide of the slain businessman too has been taken into custody.
Another suspect, a resident of Colombo has had a hand in transporting the businessman’s body to Hemmathagama in Mawanella sources said.
