Weerawansa Questioned Over 6 Hours by FCID

 National Freedom Front  Leader and parliamentarian Wimal Weerawansa was questioned for over six hours yesterday (14) by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division  in connection with  alleged abuse of state vehicles during his tenure as a minister during the previous regime.

The questioning was related to a complaint lodged regarding an alleged abuse of state vehicles during Weerawansa’s tenure as the former Housing, Engineering and Construction Minister in the Rajapaksa regime.

The FCID has launched an investigation on the complaint and Weerawansa was questioned related to the ongoing probe.
