IGP on Facebook Further Remanded

A man, who was arrested by the CID in connection with  impersonating the IGP on Facebook deceiving women to obtain various unlawful advantages, was further remanded until 19th  September 2016  by Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris. On a complaint received from a woman, the CID arrested him on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) According to the complainant the alleged suspect, Madushan Weerasekara, had deceived her impersonating as IGP on Facebook.
