Weather Forecast For 12 th October 2016

Atmospheric conditions are getting favorable for afternoon thundershowers, particularly in the Eastern, Northern and North-central provinces after 13^th October.

Fairly strong winds at times (up to 50 kmph) can be expected to continue over the central hills.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 2.00 p.m.A few showers will occur at few places in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara and Jaffna districts.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
