PM Assures Full Investigation Over Jaffna Uni. Student Deaths

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasighe yesterday assured that all investigations in connection with  the deaths of the two Jaffna University students at Kulappidi Junction, Kokkuvil, Jaffna would be conducted in a transparent manner and legal action taken against the suspects immediately.

He made this observation in Parliament while responding to a question raised by Opposition Leader R.Sampanthan under Standing Order 23(2). The Prime Minister further assured that the government will not hesitate to conduct an independent inquiry if it is necessary.
