Six Underworld Gangs Said To be in the Field in the North

Underworld gangs  have emerged sometime after the end of the war in 2009.

At least six underworld gangs including ‘Aava’ are operational in the north, intelligence officials have  revealed. It is believed that the Tamil films from Tamil Nadu also had an effect on the creation of such gangs.

These gangs  were led by  Nimalan, Jude, Sanna, Dillu , Falil and Vinodan.

 The latter is in  now in  remand custody  in connection with  a sword attack on a person.  He said to be  leading the ‘Aava’ gang.
