The Premier was speaking at the 14th annual summit of the Sri Lanka Association of Accountant’s Technicians which was held at the Galadari Hotel Colombo. The government expects to liberate the country from huge debt trap in the next 10 years. No tax burden will be put on the small scale entrepreneurs.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe said , that the macro economic stability of the country is the need of the hour. The budget will be dedicated to ensure the stability.
He said the budget which is to be presented in the parliament on the 10th of November has been prepared by a committee that is represented by different parties of the unison government.
He said that the budget aims to attract more investments from the Private sector. He further said that the government will be committed to seek market for the local products in China, India and European countries.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the US Presidential election will take place soon. He said that he is not ready to forecast on the impact that could be caused as a result of the presidential election.
