Governor of the Central Bank Indrajit Coomaraswamy said, that the Central Bank Monetary Board is due to convene today (4) to discuss the controversy surrounding the Treasury Bond Issuance.
The Monetary Board will consider an internal investigation report during the meeting pertaining to the Bond issue.
He said, that the report by the Parliamentary Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) will also be considered by the Monetary Board.
Further he said, following the meeting, the Board will decide on the future course of action on the recommendations issued by the COPE. The Central Bank is also scheduled to deliver its own report on the findings of the Bond issue.
