Atmospheric conditions are getting favorable for evening thundershowers over the island.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the islandafter 2.00 p.m.Heavy falls (more than 100mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva and Southern provinces.

Showers or thundershowers may occur in the Northern, Eastern, Uva and Southern provinces during the morning too.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.
