Atmospheric conditions are favorable for evening thundershowers over the island.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.

Showery condition is expected to enhance as well as in the Eastern and Northern parts of the island from tomorrow.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at most places over the island after 2.00 p.m. Fairly Heavy falls (about 100mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces.

Showers may occur in the Northern, Eastern provinces and in the Hambantota district during the morning too.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.
