A Police Sub Inspector Gunned Down in Kurunegala

At Maspotha in Kurunegala  while a police team headed by a police Sub inspector    were conducting a search operation in a passing vehicle in the area.  All of a sudden inmates of the vehicle pulled out  guns and fired at the police team and fled the scene.

A Sub inspector left dead and two other policemen injured in this  instance.
