The atmospheric disturbance in the Bay of Bengal still persists to the south-east of Sri Lanka. Under the influence of the above system cloudy skies and showery conditions are expected, particularly in the Southern, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western, Northern, Eastern and Uva provinces.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern, Uva, Southern and Western provinces. Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 pm.

Fairly heavy falls (more than 75 mm) can be expected at some places, particularly in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northern, Eastern, Uva and Southern provinces.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces during the morning.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
