A 44 year old Sri Lankan Nabbed at BIA

A 44-year-old Sri Lankan passenger arrived from Dubai was apprehended by customs at the BIA while he was trying to smuggle in 183 cigarette cartons. The estimated value of the haul is around Rs 1.8 million.

After the Customs inquiry, cigarettes were forfeited and Rs.50000 penalty was imposed on the suspect by Deputy Director Arther Silva.
