Arrested AAVA Group Members to be Charged Under Penal Code – Mano

AAVA group  members  were arrested   by the   TID   in the Northern  Peninsula  and  produced in Colombo Court charging   under Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).

Parents of those arrested  and Co-Existence Dialogue and Official Languages Minister Mano Ganesan insisted with the Government leaders   that the suspects be charged  under normal law of the  land. Mano Ganesan said , that the decision was taken to charge them under normal law.
