Uva Province Private Medical Centers on Strike Today

Government Medical Officers Association Secretary,     Doctor  Naveen de Zoysa  stated  that the 2017 budget  proposal  to recover 600 million from  a  tobacco company   is  against the  basic principles   of the medical  board.  He further said, that   other proposal in the budget badly affected the medical  sector.  To register their protest against above,  it was decided  to  take trade union action. Hence, Uva Province private medical centers  will be closed today.
