A Right Decision by Rajitha For Blood Testing

In most of the  Government hospitals  patients  are  directed  to get their blood tested  in private hospitals or laboratories. Main reason is that  all hospitals are not  equipped  with blood testing  facilities.

Minister Rajitha Senaratne said , the government will provide blood testing machines to the hospitals with laboratories, before the 31st  December 2016 .

 He says disciplinary action will be taken against hospital directors, if  patients are  directed  to  obtained blood test from private hospitals  or laboratories. If any hospitals  violates this requirement  action will be taken against the  Director in charge of it. A circular will be issued in this connection shortly. The statement further says, digitalization of hospitals commenced from the Horana Base Hospital and the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital.

The statement says that blood testing from the private sector will be banned from the 01st of January for the patients admitted to hospitals.
