Determined Rishad Takes Steps to Regularize Smooth Rice Distribution

Economic Management Committee  at  cabinet level met  under the leadership of Prime Minister on 14^th December 2016 . After reviewing  rice prices in the market , approval was given  to import  250, 000 metric ton of rice.

 Followed by this,   Minister  Rishad has ordered  his officials  to take immediate steps to import 10,000 metric ton of rice. In   addition they were  instructed to obtain 20,000 metric tons of paddy from the Paddy Marketing Board and   convert in to  rice with the help of mill owners and make (White  and  Nadu )  available  at CWE  stalls at Rs 78.

He has warned  traders , who hoards rice during  festival season to create artificial shortage. Instruction has been given  to the Consumer Protection Authority to raid unscrupulous traders.
