Dissension Among Ministers & The Threat to Topple Government

A number of Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and United National Party (UNP) Ministers have met the President to complain about the behaviour of three members of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Management, who misinform and ignore the Ministers.
These Ministers have met the President while the Prime Minister was in Davos, Switzerland and asked Sirisena to rectify this matter immediately.
The Ministers also told the President that the behaviour of another senior minister is creating a difficult situation for the government.
In response the President has told the ministers that he can’t take a decision when the Prime Minister was not in the country and advised them to bring this matter for debate when the Cabinet meets.
Ameeting between President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe  has been arranged  today (23) morning to discuss the dissention issues  and  threat to topple  the Government .
