President Ruled Out Foreign Judges

The Head of State cum  SLFP  President Maithripala Sirisena  addressed  a meeting with the Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and executive members at the Foundation Institute. At this meeting he made it clear  that foreign judges will not be allowed to probe alleged human rights abuses in the country during the conflict,  claiming he conveyed the same to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The President took this bold decision regardless of the opposition he might have to face internationally.
