Foreign Judges Cannot be Allowed – Ranil

The Srilankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe said, that there is no provision in our constitution to allow foreign judges to inquire into any offence in Srilanka. To allow it, we have to amend our constitution. If our soldiers have committed any offence during the war, it could be investigated by a local mechanism to be established. We want inform our position to the UNHRC this week. We cannot accept each and every proposal made by the UNHRC, he concluded.
