Seya Murder: FR Petition Filed by Affected Student in Court Today

In connection with  the kidnap and murder of Seya Sadewmi in Kotadeniyawa, a  student was arrested and subjected to various mistreatment including assault. Later on police found that he was not involved and released him. Affected student  filed a  Fundamental Rights petition claiming one million rupees  compensation  in the Supreme Court.

The case will be heard before a three member bench led by the Chief Justice today.
