Security Strengthened During Festive Season

Police Media spokesperson, Priyantha Jayakody stated that  the police has introduced a new security plan for the upcoming festive season.  Additional police officials will be placed in congested areas such as Colombo, other major cities around the country .

Non-uniformed police officers too will be placed in certain areas, to further heighten levels of public security.  Police will further carry out awareness programmes for the public regarding the different ways they can follow to enjoy the festivities in the safest way possible.
