Weather Forecast For 6th April 2017

Showers or thundershowers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, Uvaand Southern provinces after 2.00p.m.

Fairly heavy falls (above 50mm) can be expected at some places.

A few showers can be expected in the South-Western coastal areas during the morning too.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.

On the apparent northward relative motion of the sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05^th and 15^th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (06^th), are Godakawela, Maggona, Baduraliya, Madametota and Timirigahamankada about 12:13 noon.
