The Joint Opposition Parliamentary group leader Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday made a request to the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe and Speaker Karu Jeyasuriya to take steps to convene Parliament on an urgent basis to discuss the Meethotamulla garbage dump disaster crisis. Further Dinesh Gunawardena said, that the regular Parliamentary session had been scheduled on 3rd May 2017 and until such time the parties cannot wait for the debate.
