A New Building in Progress Collapsed in Wellawatta

A  new 7 storey  building under construction near  Wellawatta Savoy Cinema has collapsed  at 10.45 am today (18).

Twenty two  construction workers who were caught in the collapsed and  injured had been  admitted  to Kalubowila  teaching hospital.

Although  adjoining buildings too were affected ,there is no disruption on Galle road transport.

Six  fire brigades have arrived for rescue operation.
