Generating Electricity From Garbage

A  Japanese company  called’’ DAIICHI LAIHTSO GROUP ‘’ has come forward to make use of garbage  collected to  generate electricity . For this purpose garbage  collected  in the  North Western Province  will be  selected.  It is expected to select a location to dump garbage  in  Kurunegala, Sundarapola .

On 20th June some representatives of ’’ DAIICHI LAIHTSO GROUP ‘’ have met North Western Provincial Chief Minister Dharmasiri Dissanayake and Opposition Leader Shamal Senarath and submitted the proposal .
