18 SLFP MPs Decided to leave the Government?

State Minister  of lands , T.B.Ekanayake said yesterday (30) that the Memorandum of Understanding  (MOU) between the SLFP and the UNP expires in coming September 2017. After this date 18 SLFP  members of  parliament decided to  leave the government group and function as independent  till the General Election in the year 2020.

However, UPFA General Secretary Mahinda  Amaraweera  said, that  he didn’t  hear any such announcement  and ruled out  such move. Although the MOU expires in September 2017, no decision has been taken yet on this matter. He blamed  the media to create such stories.
