Followed by a special discussion regarding the SAITM issue took place between the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees last night(12), President of the GMOA, Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya stated, that the discussion addressed the problematic situation that had arisen as a result of the SAITM issue. Finally, Prime Minister had agreed to implement the five proposals submitted by the GMOA in March, in order to solve the SAITM issue.
Accordingly, PM Wickremesinghe had reportedly already instructed Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne to take the necessary steps to implement the GMOA’s series of proposals.
Dr. Padeniya expressed his believe that GMOA’s 5 proposals would be implemented without delay.
