US State Dept.Offers US$235,000 to Strengthen the Commision on Bribery or Corruption

The United States of America State Department has offered US$235,000 (Approximately SL Rs 35.25 million) to Sri Lanka to strengthen the commission appointed to Investigate allegations of Bribery or Corruption.

To obtain this amount from the US State Department , an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) need to be signed. A cabinet proposal made in this connection by the President was considered and approved by the Cabinet
