Black Bands  Protest By JO  Against Slashing Samurdhi Benefits Force Adjournment of Parliament

Today  (10) Joint Opposition MPs wearing black bands and displaying placards within the chamber protesting against the slashing of Samurdhi benefits, created problem in Parliament.

There was uproar  in Parliament. Despite Speaker Karu Jayasuriya decided to call a party leaders’ meeting and adjourned parliament until then.
