A cyclist was critically injured after a tractor collided with his cycle in Akkaraipattu police division, yesterday (16) at around 7.20p.m.
He succumbed to his injuries upon admission to Akkaraipattu hospital.
The deceased was a 58-year-old resident of Akkaraipattu.
His body is kept at the morgue of Akkaraipattu hospital. The post mortem examination will be conducted today (16).
Tractor driver has been arrested by the Police. Akkaraipattu Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
