Weather Forecast For 22nd August 2017

Cloudy skies can be expected at most parts of the island.

Several spells of showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces.

Light showers will occur in the North-western province.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Uva province and Ampara district after 2.00 p.m.

Fairly strong winds about 40-50 kmph can be expected in the Hambanthota, Maduru-oya and Polonnaruwaareas.

(There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.)
