The term of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into the Issuance of Treasury Bonds concludes on the 27th of October.
The Chairman of the Presidential Commission, Supreme Court Judge KT Chithrasiri said the Commission hopes to conclude evidence hearing by the end of next week. Hence, the hearing of evidence will conclude on the 13th of October. Followed by this, remainder of the time granted to the Commission will be allocated to compile a report.
Former Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran has been summoned by the Commission for cross examination today(6). He is scheduled to testify before the Commission.
The Commission has already recorded evidence from over 50 individuals.
