FCID Commences Investigation on T.B. Ekanayake’s Misuse of a Vehicle.

Minister T.B. Ekanayake functioned as the Minister of Cultural Affairs between 2012 and 2015. The Organisation for the Protection of Central Cultural Fund has made a complaint to the FCID that a vehicle bearing number plate WP PE-0771 belonging to the CCF had been misused by State Minister while he was functioning as the Minister of Cultural Affairs during the previous regime.

Filing a fact report before Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara, the FCID informed Court that an investigation has commenced against the Minister T,B.Ekanayake for alleged misuse of a vehicle. The Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) has commenced an investigation against State Minister T.B. Ekanayake for allegedly misusing a vehicle belonging to Central Cultural Fund (CCF) while he was serving.
