Six  Election Monitoring Groups to Meet Mahinda Deshapriya Today

The amended acts on Municipal Councils, Urban Councils, and Pradeshiya Sabhas were handed over to the Chairman of Election Commission by the Minister Faizer Mustapha on 13th  October.

Then the Election Commission Chairman said if the Minister can gazette it today, the Election Commission members to meet on 19th and announce a date for LG polls.

Six election monitoring groups are scheduled to meet the Chairman of Election Commission, Mahinda Deshapriya today (17), and they will discuss regarding  upcoming Local Government Election.
