Car Crash Cost Two Lives

Two labourers aged 41 and 51 involved in road clearing activities along the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway (E03), were killed when a car skidded off the road and crashed into them, Police said.

They suspect the driver lost control of the vehicle when he fell asleep at the wheel.

The victims were identified as residents of Ja-Ela.

The driver of the car was arrested by the Pamunugama Police.

Further investigations are carried out by police.
