Five Suspects Sentenced to Life Imprisonment  by Colombo HC

The five suspects in question were detained on August 11, 1996 in Maligawatte for the possession of 6.5 grams heroin. Following their conviction a large charge sheet was submitted against them as the case progressed.

Followed by this, when the case was taken up today , they  were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Colombo High Court today (9). The verdict was passed by High Court Judge Piyasena Ranasinghe.
