3 Years Lecture Prohibition Imposed on 15 Peradeniya Uni Students 

Peradeniya University disciplinary committee has inquired into complaints made by 8 freshers. In their complaint they stated that they were forcibly taken outside the university premises, undressed and ragged.

In accordance with the findings of the disciplinary committee, fifteen (15) students involved in the incident have been prohibited attending lectures for 3 years. Prohibition letters were signed by the Vice Chancellor, Upul Dissanayake .
