President Appeals to Railway Trade Unions to Return For Duty

President Maithripala Sirisena has made an appeal to all striking railway trade unions to return to work considering the inconvenience caused to Ordinary Level students, who are sitting for the examination today (12).

Several other parties have voiced their distress over the ongoing railway strike as children who travel in train to get to their examination centres will be left inconvenienced.
