250 Coconut Sellers Taken to Courts For Selling Coconut Beyond Maximum Retail Price of Rs75

Consumer Protection Authority has taken steps to file action against 250 coconut sellers, who sold coconut above the maximum retail price of Rs 75 fixed by the government.

During the raid carried out in Colombo last week, 60 coconut sellers were nabbed. They were rounded up for selling coconuts between the prices Rs 80 and Rs 120.
