Education Minister Calls Report on the Incident Where, A Principal Being Forced to kneel Down Before the Uva Chief Minister….

The Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has directed the Secretary to his Ministry, Sunil Hettiarachchi  to inquire into the incident  where,  the principal of the Badulla Tamil Maha Vidyalaya was summoned  by the Uva Chief Minister to appear before him  and made her kneel down and apologize. Further, to examine the the way Uva Regional Education Ministry officials handled the alleged incident.  Further to look into the possibility of Uva Chief Minister threatened the Uva education office officials?

As the Uva Chief Minister originally denied such incident took place and now alleged that this was now raised to obtain political advantage, Ministry of Education has called for a detailed report.
