LG Polls Women Candidates Humiliated

In a press conference held yesterday National Organizer of Center for Monitoring Election Violence (CMEV), Manjula Gajanayake said, that although all the people voiced for the increase in women representation in all local councils, in practise women are humiliated.

 A section of the males carry out propaganda asking voters not to vote for women. In some other cases male candies make use of their private disputes, grudges and humiliate women candidates in public.  Hence, he requested the election commissioner and the police to put an end to this humiliation.
