Ministry of Education Expects to Fill Vacancies For Principals of National Schools Within a Month.

While speaking in parliament yesterday responded to allegations claiming not a single individual was selected during interviews recently conducted in this regard, Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said that the Ministry expects to fill vacancies for Principals of national schools within a month.

He noted previous interviewing panels determined that authorities did not receive applications from qualified individuals, to fulfil vacancies at national schools.

Minister of Education was forced to cancel the recruitment process as a result.

 The notice for recruitment in this regard will be gazetted shortly and the Ministry therefore expects to fill relevant vacancies within a period of one month, he concluded.
