Police Used Tear Gas to Disperse Demonstrating Farmers

Demonstrating farmers blocked the Kurunegala – Anuradapura main road and started pelting stones at Thambuttegama police station.

Followed by this incident police used tear gas to disperse demonstrating farmers.

 In this incident 4 policemen were injured and 40 people arrested by police.
