The Police curfew imposed in the Kandy administrative district was lifted at 6am today.
Police noted the presence of Special Task Force personnel will remain for security purposes and to maintain law and order in the Digana and Teldeniya areas.

The gazette was signed by President Maithripala Sirisena, stating the emergency was declared in the interests of public security, the protection of public order and the maintenance of supplies and services essential to the living standards of the community.
