All Recommendations Made UNHRC Can’t be Accepted- Field Marshal

Minister of Regional Development Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka yesterday said as all the charges made against Srilanla were not true all the recommendations made by the United Nation’s Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva cannot be accepted.
He said some charges were exaggerated and were made after the war based on the agendas of a few bent on slinging  mud at the country. “There could be exceptions but we are not ready to blindly accept all the allegations brought against the country,” he said.
The Minister said the Rajapaksa administration had aggravated the issue when the war crime claims were first made. “Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa and his brother, then Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s offensive behaviour aggravated the issue further,” he concluded
