University Administrative Officers on Strike

University Administrative Officers Union making 14 demands decided to go on strike today (22) and tomorrow (23), said it’s Secretary Dayal Abeysinghe.

Hence work in 15 universities,03 campuses and 18  Higher Education Institutions  administered by the University Grant commission will get badly affected.

Although the union made a request to the Chairman of the UGC  in last October for an opportunity to discuss about salary problem and other demands , it was not granted, Secretary said.
