Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera will present a Cabinet Memorandum, on the new fuel pricing formula, at the weekly meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers tomorrow (24).
Top Treasury sources said that Minister Samaraweera was billed to present the Memorandum to the Cabinet tomorrow, also assured that the new prices will not scale up to the Rs 165 per litre of petrol and the Rs 115 per litre for diesel, which were the prices which prevailed prior to the Unity Government assuming office on 8 January 2015. However, they were extremely tight lipped on the new prices, pleading complete ignorance in that regard.
