Open Warrant Re Issued on Jaliya Wickramasuriya

Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States (US) Jaliya Wickremesuriya is alleged to have misappropriated USD 330,000 out of USD 6.6 million allocated to purchase a building for Sri Lankan Embassy in the US.

An open warrant was issued against former Sri Lankan Ambassador to the United States (US) Jaliya Wickremesuriya after he failed to appear before courts today.

The warrant was re issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today(24).
