Proposal of National Transport Commission Before Cabinet Tomorrow

Followed by increase in fuel prices introduced, National Transport Commission said, a proposal incorporating revision of bus fares, which included annual revision has been submitted to the cabinet for approval. This proposal is expected to be considered by the cabinet tomorrow. In the meantime private bus operators unions expressed different views about the increase about revision of bus fares  at their will. Private bus operators union stressed the initial bus charges should be increased from Rs10 to Rs 15 and increase in rate by 20%.

If their demand is not me, they threatened to go on strike as from 17^th May 2018, its’ General Secretary Anjana Priyansith said.
